The siraikipoint.com is a comprehensive website on

Siraiki Language, Literature, Art and Culture.

Siraiki is a South Asian Language spoken in central part of Indus Valley civilization in Pakistan. The language area is represented by its prominent cities of Multan, Bahawalpur and D.G. Khan. Along with the rivers of Indus or Sindh, Sutluj, Chennab, Ravi and Bias the old Hakra or Sarsvati River was also alive in past times in the Siraiki land of Cholistan. Now a day this area is administratively included in Punjab Province of Pakistan and Semi official term of southern Punjab is used for the area of Siraiki language. The language is also spoken in Northern Sindh, Dera Ismail Khan District and its adjacent areas in NWFP and many areas of Balochistan Province. A reasonable population of siraiki speaking Hindus migrated to India and they still use the language as their mother tongue and literary tool. The name of the language is also spelled as Sariaki and Seraiki. The classical researchers also called the Siraiki as Multani, Lahnda, Riasti, Bahawalpuri, Deray Wali, Jatki and with other local names. Orientalists put Siraiki Language in Indo-Aryan group of Indo-European family and some Native Scholars are of the opinion that Siraiki belongs to Dravidian family of languages.
